NINJA QUITS TWITCH

Ninja has ditched twitch for Microsoft mixer. This is such a big deal. The news was all over the web, gaming, tech,  and many other websites. To be frank, I was not even aware of what Microsoft Mixer was. Most of us can say that it is a smaller platform compared to Twitch.

Obviously, he has taken a huge payment from Microsoft in order to stream from the platform.  This is a much less crowded platform in terms of the user base.  There are going to be fever eyeballs of people who might want to stream from here. At the same time, they must enjoy a considerable amount of followers.  The platform is more like meant for prominent streamers who might want to stream individually.

There is a rumor going around that the deal that Ninja has signed is in the tune of 7 figures or somewhere thereabout.  Speculations are that it might be between 5 million and 10 million US Dollars.  The length of the contract has not been shared as yet, but this deal sets a playing ground in not only the gaming industry but the streaming industry as well, going forward.

Assuming that the contract between twitch and Microsoft mixer comes to almost an end and he goes back to twitch asking them to negotiate a contract.  This is a new face that streaming companies should expect especially with prominent content creators. Keeping in mind the influence that he commanded while on Twitch, it is almost certain that the company will have no options other than to sign him back.

It is, however, important to note that Mixer is not a joke.  One thing to note is that it is backed by Microsoft which is a huge tech company.  The company has the financial muscle to put its platform to greater heights.  The company has the ability to do something that is greater to Ninja than what twitch could offer.  Ours is to watch the space and expect major dynamics. Let me know what you think.
